Agroforestal
Sentinel-2 image viewer and query of normalized differential vegetation indices and vegetation adjusted to modified soil on agricultural farms
The i3 Agroforestry viewer is a tool designed by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food and the Mas Badia Foundation, que ha rebut el cofinançament del programa europeu LIFE+. L'ICGC ha estat l'entitat responsable del seu desenvolupament tècnic i la implementació.
This interactive viewer allows users to visualize and analyze agroforestry data in Catalonia and determine the internal variability of each plot based on the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and MSAVI (Modified Soil-Adjusted Vegetation Index) indices.
The main objective is to provide detailed information on the state and evolution of agroforestry surfaces, in order to facilitate decision-making in the fields of agricultural and forestry management. Thus, it allows monitoring the health and growth of crops, planning management and maintenance actions and analyzing the impact of environmental factors on agroforestry surfaces.
This viewer covers the entire territory of Catalonia and offers updated and historical data for any location.
Technical data
The data shown in this viewer are based on images from the Sentinel-2 satellites, from the Copernicus initiative of the European Space Agency. From these images, the ICGC generates the NDVI and MSAVI indices, which are integrated with data from the Geographic Information System for Agricultural Parcels (SIGPAC) and different cartographic backgrounds.
