Geographical names allow us to locate ourselves in the territory and, at the same time, provide us with information about places.

The app Wordle toponymic aims to help us discover, in a playful way, names and places of Catalonia. It is based on the ICGC's Geographical Names database. 

This is a progressive web application (PWA) that is optimized for mobile and that has the possibility of being downloaded and started from the main screen or the applications menu of any device with a web browser.

Game rules

• Every day you must find a place name in a maximum of 6 attempts.
• After each attempt, the color of the letters will change to indicate the proximity to the hidden word.
• Accents are not taken into account, letters can be repeated and commonly used words can be written that help find the place name in question.
• The place name of the day, however, may be a little-known place name and more difficult to guess.

Don't be discouraged! Whether you guess it right or not, at the end we will show you its location on a map.
