Activity related to the exhibition “Leonor Ferrer: a life between the lines”, which will deal with the presence of women in the cities and on the streets. In Catalonia only 4% of the streets have women names. The historian Roser Salicrú will talk about this fact and about the campaign "They deserve it" started by the magazine Sàpiens. Jaume Muñoz Jofre will talk about the efforts of the Barcelona City Nomenclature Committee to reverse this situation. The geographer Clara Cirera will talk to us about how the physical and social characteristics of cities affect the experiences of women in public spaces. The different perspectives of the participants in the round table will provide us with keys to understanding the connection between women and cities today, opening a debate on how social policies can be drivers of change to guarantee greater inclusion, security and prominence of women in the urban space.
