ICC Workshop: The new portal IDE_OT: SDI in satellite images of Earth Observation

Systems of Earth Observation from satellite have allowed us a synoptic view and, under certain repetitiveness and operational bases, a better knowledge of the environment and the territory of Catalonia. The ICC began in late 2009 an internal program to design, analyze and implement a new spatial data infrastructure (SDI) under a powerful new metadata definition for satellite images.
We present the new portal IDE_OT, its structure, functions and vocation of service to users, with the aim to establish a benchmark and metadata model for satellite images, as well as a strategic tool for knowledge expansion and transfer and consulting ICC and SDIC sources that will permit to incorporate other image collections.
